UAE president names Abu Dhabi crown prince and deputy rulers

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the eldest son of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed

UAE President and Abu Dhabi Ruler Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a decree appointing Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the crown prince of Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Khaled is the eldest son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.

The president also appointed Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed and Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed as deputy rulers of Abu Dhabi, the UAE state-run WAM news agency reported.

Sheikh Tahnoun is the son of the UAE founder, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and serves as the UAE national security advisor. 

He chairs state-owned Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and ADQ.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan was named UAE vice president alongside Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president, prime minister and ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Mansour, brother of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, has served as UAE’s deputy prime minister and minister of presidential court. He owns Manchester City club and chairs UAE sovereign wealth fund Mubadala.
