Petrofac Emirates won the contract, which involves the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a new gas compressor plant by Adnoc Gas Processing, London-listed engineering and construction major said in a statement. Comprising three gas compressor trains, associated utilities and power systems, the new plant will support Adnoc subsidiary to substantially increase gas output from the Habshan Complex, west of Abu Dhabi. In December 2022, Shell selected Petrofac to undertake a new EPS in Oman. The first is a five-year EPS contract for Shell’s Block-10 Mabrouk phase 2 project in the Al Wusta governate, around 400 km from Muscat.
