Galfar Engineering and Contracting Overview

Galfar Engineering and Contracting is one of the largest contracting and construction companies in Oman and the wider Gulf region.

Galfar Engineering and Contracting has constructed more than 4,000km of roads, laid more than 8,000km of pipelines/flowlines and completed more than 1,000 projects across Oman, from Musandam in the north to Dhofar in the south.

It also has operations in other GCC countries and India.

In October 2007 the company was listed on the Muscat Securities Market in Oman’s second-largest IPO.

Galfar Engineering and Contracting is active in three segments: construction, hiring of equipment and training of personnel.

Its principal activities include civil and mechanical construction, public health engineering, road construction, electrical, plumbing and maintenance contracts.

It also hires out cranes, equipment and other vehicles, and runs driver and mechanical operator training.
