Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait Overview

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait is a retail and commercial bank with 29 branches in Kuwait, 45 in Egypt and two in the UAE.

It was established in 1967 by the Behbehani family and set up the subsidiary ABK Capital, which provides asset management solutions and investment advisory services, in 2006.

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait upgraded its shares from the main market to the premier market of Boursa Kuwait in 2024.

Since 2002 Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait has had a co-branded credit card partnership with Emirates Skywards, the largest airline in the Middle East.

Subsidiaries include ABK Capital Investment, ABK Cayman Island Limited, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait and Egypt ABK.

Its major shareholders include the Kuwait Investment Authority, Behbehani Investment, Behbehani General Trading Co and Behbehani Financial.

Bank of Sharjah readies for new dollar bond sale
